Weekend Project

Well it was sad this morning when we dropped Shaun off at the airport. His little boy was not happy at all to see him go (and the fact that he couldn't go with him). It's always hard to drive away with a screaming child in the back. But he recovered quickly. So far so good but we'll have to see how this next week goes without him. I think all the family we'll see in St. Louis will help.

On a happy note, last weekend we decided to add some greenery to the pergola. Shaun built 3 huge planters - he decided to build his own because we had so much wood left over from building the pergola. Then we put Virginia creepers in each one (to grow up the post) and added some bright purple, pink, and red petunias. They turned out so good. Hopefully nothing will die while we are out of town next week. I'm trying to make my own watering device. I'm testing one out now so we'll see how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed.
